Singapore, April 29, 2024 — gumi Cryptos Capital, a pioneering Silicon Valley venture capital firm specializing in the Web3 space, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Evans Huangfu as a new Partner, effective April 2024. Based in Singapore, Evans will lead the firm’s Asia efforts and portfolio strategy, significantly bolstering its presence and operations across the region.
Evans Huangfu brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in the Web3 and venture capital landscape. Prior to joining gumi Cryptos Capital, he served as the Partner & CIO at Arcane Group, where he managed a $200 million multi-stage Web3 fund and invested heavily into Asian founders. His strategic investments included major industry players like Animoca Brands, Xterio, Fusionist, Particle Network and Pyth Network, focusing on consumer crypto infrastructure and decentralized applications.
Before his tenure at Arcane Group, Evans was the Head of Huobi Ventures, where he led Web3.0 investments and incubation, achieving an impressive portfolio return and strengthening Huobi’s position in the market. His expertise spans across key areas such as blockchain infrastructure, Digital Entertainment, Multi-chain ecosystem, and middleware applications in the Asian-Pacific region .
